Apply For Scholarship

Scholarship Eligibility: 

“Eligible student” means a student who is a Georgia resident enrolled in a Georgia secondary or primary public school or eligible to enroll in a qualified first grade, kindergarten program, or pre-kindergarten program.

VBS Scholarship Guidelines: 

  • Each child applying for a scholarship must be an eligible student according to Georgia law.
  • Student(s) must be accepted to VBS before applying for a scholarship.
  • The scholarship can only be used towards tuition and fees.
  • The billing account of VBS students must be current to be eligible to receive a scholarship.
  • The scholarship is awarded by the VBS Scholarship Committee to an eligible student and varies in amount based on current criteria (listed in the scholarship application) and availability of scholarship funds.
  • Behavioral / Academic probation can result in loss of the scholarship(s).
  • Parent / guardian will be responsible to pay the enrollment fee and any remaining tuition and/or fees not covered by the scholarship(s).
  • Any funds remaining in a student’s account upon graduation, withdrawal or non-reenrollment to VBS) will be used by VBS to internally award another eligible student.
  • The VBS Scholarship Committee determines any exceptions to these guidelines on a case-by-case basis.

Steps to apply for a scholarship: 

  1. Obtain proof of child’s enrollment (those entering 2nd grade and above) in a Georgia public school.
  2. Complete the 2012-2013 VBS Scholarship Application (available in the school office).
  3. Return both completed forms to the VBS office for review by the VBS Scholarship Committee.
  4. If financial need is to be considered, then complete the FACTS process (www.factstuitionaid.com) by March 31st, 2012 (including the submission of all supporting documents).
