Our K5 and first grade students recently traveled to the Interactive Neighborhood for Kids (INK) in Gainesville on a real, live school bus! Students participated in lots of hands-on activities that enriched their Community Helper Studies. Students had fun playing doctor, dentist, and veterinarian! Boys had fun flying the airplane at the airport, and the girls had fun dressing up on the stage and fixing mom’s hair at the beauty shop. Food and drinks anyone? Students took a turn serving each other, parents, and, of course, their teacher at the Diner. And no one wanted to miss grocery shopping, driving the fire truck and police car, and milking the life-sized cow at the farm! Oh, the places we went on our field trip to INK!!!
